Copied from my book review with a similar 'set-up':"First off; it is not a series if you take a short part out of something that could go for a novelette/novella/book. When there are 'parts' only buyable, as one part or a collection, it isn't a part, it is a SAMPLER. These 'full collections' that have separate parts, only cause the stores to have unnecessary stock and you are cheating the readers."
Issues;
~The dialogue at some places felt like it needed to be revised, as it came across a little like much younger, child-like characters.
~There were letters missing at a few places, I suppose came in due to review track changes that go a little loopy during conversion, but no big deal, as it is subtle and maybe just my device's issue.
~It would've been four stars, but the offer of a free book in exchange for a review is something that I believe is an awful practice.
But, I really liked it. It was sweet, hot and wants me reading more. It has a great element of hope for the protagonist, which was both relatable and appealing.

Great read, want go keep reading! I like the short stories but really hate unfinished endings. I really like this author.
Very good book to read. Can't wait to see how it all plays out with Stella and Joshua. To know that he has wanted her since high school and still desires her just as much now ten years later. Will she take him up on his offer and get over how her ex-husband has treated her. Can't wait.
I loved this story. It was a fast read but Lucia got to the point very quickly. You can tell there is history between them and a future of some kind coming ahead for them. Joshua and Stella are an amusing match. She appears weak but I can see she is only damaged from her recent past. I look forward to reading how their relationship develops and grows.
Once again, Lucia Jordan weaves another sexually charged story with very believable characters--in a totally believable situation. Who knew hooking up with the one that got away could be so hot, hot, hot. My only complaint Book 1 ended way too soon!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Deep down, I am a romantic and the fact that Joshua has been carrying a torch for Stella since high school is a big selling point for me on this series. I've only read the first part so far. I can't wait to read the rest! The author's descriptions had me seeing the words in my mind's eye. I am looking forward to reading more from her. I really like how she has Joshua describe Stella as a bright star. I don't remember ever reading a book where someone was described as a bright star. It's a much needed break from the clichéd descriptions in so many books these days.
Joshua is a man who knows what he wants. Stella is a woman who is going through a hard time. Together they are explosive. This book is one that is hot, and Joshua is a Dom, but Stella does not know what that is and that she is a natural submissive. These two will melt your kindle.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing how it develops in the full series.
Stella is working at her high school reunion after divorcing her high school sweetheart after catching him cheating. She meets Joshua again and there is an instant attraction between them. I look forward to finding out where this goes.
